Windshield Replacement

Your vehicle’s windshield does more than just keep the wind and elements out of your face. It is an integral part of the safety restraint system, which is why you should always have the glass repaired or replaced at the first sign of any damage. Your windshield is classified as a “safety device” because it provides structural strength to the car’s body, helps keep passengers inside the vehicle in the event of an accident, and supports the inflation and performance of passenger-side airbags.

Why an Undamaged Windshield Is So Important

If the integrity of your windshield is compromised, so are you and your family’s safety. At First Call Auto Glass of Southern California, your glass is always serviced by professionals who take their job—and your safety—seriously. All of our technicians are certified and only use adhesives that meet or exceed the standards of the original equipment manufacturer, and those of the federal government, to ensure your windshield is safely replaced, and that you and your family’s safety is not jeopardized.

Your vehicle has been designed to help protect you in the event of an accident. All repair work done to your car is regulated by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) to ensure that all parts and their installation meet the performance requirements that contribute to your safety.

Additionally, your windshield is secured to the body of your car by specially formulated glass adhesives that have been tested and approved to meet all applicable FMVSS requirements. While the quality of a windshield is extremely important, the quality and proper installation of the auto glass adhesive is also of vital importance.

By strictly adhering to these auto glass industry standards, First Call Auto Glass ensures quality service and the highest level of safety for you and your loved ones. That’s why we are the Southern California’s most respected auto glass company.

Can my Windshield be Repaired or does it need to be Replaced?

Most rock chips under the size of a 50 cent piece can be successfully repaired. The results vary depending on the condition of the break. Some of the factors that affect a repair:

• Length of time since the break occurred – new breaks repair better.
• A break that has been wet – moisture in the glass affects the repair.
• If the break is directly in your vision and bothers you, it may still bother you after the repair. A successful repair is designed to improve the look and keep the damage from spreading.
• Repair is an economical alternative to replacement.

Our repairs are guaranteed forever. If, at anytime, you do not like the windshield repair, or your windshield continues to break, we will give you a full credit on the repair toward a new windshield.
